The Founders

Marsha Spak, CEO, is a mother of three and has been a successful self-employed business owner for 25 years.  In addition to operating several of her own businesses, she also owns and manages her own real estate.  Ms. Spak studied business at Drexel University and attended Temple University where she studied Business and Real Estate.  From 2004 to 2010, Ms. Spak served on the Executive Board of  a Home and School Association, serving the last 3 of those years as President.  She also currently serves on the Student Advisory Council at her child's elementary school as a parent representative.

Amy Papatolis, COO, is a mother of three and holds a Bachelor of Science in Early Childhood/Elementary Education from Temple University.  Ms. Papatolis worked as a Legal Secretary for the State of New Jersey's Casino Control Commission and also served as the personal secretary to 2 attorneys in the Legal Department of American Centennial Insurance Company.  From 2007-2010, Ms. Papatolis served on the Executive Board of a Home and School Association for 3 years in the position of Secretary.  She also currently runs and maintains the 100 Book Challenge literacy program in her childrens' elementary school.

During the 3 years that Marsha Spak and Amy Papatolis served together on the Executive Board of Joseph J. Greenberg School's Home and School Association, they raised over $75,000. These funds allowed the Home and School Association to provide air-conditioning for 40+ classrooms and to purchase a new sound-system and new lockers for 300 middle school students. 


Maria Latalladi-Hardy, Director of Parent & Community Affairs, is a mother of  6 children and former manager of the claims reimbursement department of NPA (National Prescriptions Administrations). In 1998 Ms. Latalladi-Hardy decided to stay at home with her children and has been a homemaker for the past 13 years.  During this time she started 2 separate youth organizations.  The first, CYA Gators football and cheerleading, she ran successfully for 4 years.  Ms. Latalladi-Hardy then moved on to start H.Y.P.E. (Helping Youth Pursue Excellence).  Ms. Latalladi-Hardy currently maintains her COO position for H.Y.P.E., which houses over 200 youths in basketball, tutoring and mentoring endeavors.  She also served as Vice-President of the Home and School Board of John Creighton Elementary from 2003-2005.  She has volunteered extensively for the home and school at her children's current elementary school, Joseph J. Greenberg, where she currently serves on the Student Advisory Council.


Our Board of Directors

Gina I. Hubbard has been an employee of the Philadelphia School District for 20 years.  Ms. Hubbard is currently Principal at Joseph J. Greenberg Elementary School where she has been for 6 years.  Prior to this, Ms. Hubbard served as Assistant Principal at Solis-Cohen Elementary School for 2 years and Principal at Fox Chase Elementary School for 2 years. 

Dana Cohen has been a teacher at Joseph J. Greenberg Elementary School for 6 years.  Ms. Cohen received her Bachelor's Degree from Bloomsburg University and is currently finishing her Master's Degree program in the Art of Education.

Wayne A. McCann has been a Philadelphia Police Officer for 20 years, currently holding the position of Detective.  Prior to this, Mr. McCann worked with the Pennsylvania State Parole Department and the Department of Corrections.  Mr. McCann holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Philosophy from LaSalle University and an M.S. in Education and Organizational Human Resources from Villanova University.
